Seeing nature more closely.

Photographs of wild animals, a practical app that helps nature photographers get the eye sharp, and an experiment that turns bird song into three-dimensional space.

Projects

Two ways of looking at wildlife

Wildlife Depth of Field: a robin at 20 m inside the zone of focus.
iPhone & iPad app

Wildlife Depth of Field

An offline helper for beginner nature photographers: will the eye be sharp, will the whole animal fit in the zone of focus – and what to change if not.

Experimental research

Birdsong 3D

A research tool that maps bird song into 3D, detects individual calls and looks for repeated phrases – an attempt to see the structure of how birds communicate.

About

Behind Wildiso

I'm Grzegorz Duszak – Polish by birth, and for the past ten years at home in Wolfsburg, Germany. Wildlife photography is my passion, and Germany is where I photograph: kingfishers, bee-eaters, storks, foxes and whatever else the season brings.

Wildiso is where my photographs and the tools I build for nature photographers come together.
